Guiding Principle #3: Knowledge and skills are needed to navigate the complex food environment and support healthy eating

In this third and last guiding principle, Health Canada recognises that the adoption of better dietary habits has to come with the adoption of new skills and knowledge; planning preparing meals, making healthier choices when we eat out, and sharing meals with friends and family.

Among these, let’s underline meal planning, which is particularly interesting since SOSCuisine’s meal plans enable you to develop this new skill! Why not try to adopt some of these principles before Health Canada’s new tools are published in 2018? SOSCuisine’s meal plans can help you better plan your meals throughout the week and put in place these new guiding principles whilst taking into account your specific health requirements and preferences.

If you are interested in giving your opinion on these principles, Health Canada’s consultation period is open until July 25th. You can take part here.
